That was done and we dated publicly for 2 years and it was on a Friday after work that I was told some good news that I promoted to financial administrator and Vanesa was also promoted to branch manager so we decided to have a small celebration with our friends we were so happy but especially me because ever since I started dating Vanessa she pushed me to work hard and that hard work helped me to acquire this promotion it was all thank to her so I decided that it was the best day that I should thank her for everything she has done for me, for making me a better person so I called Norian to escort me to a jewelry store  so that she can help me find the best ring I could afford to buy, so I met with Norian and when I explained my intensions she was very happy that she actually cried.
After choosing the ring, I went home and prepared for the promotion party and soon we were at the party I found Vanesa waiting for me and I said hi while hugging her, she complimented my looks “looking good Mr. Banda” “you as well miss Jere” I replied and as the party started I asked for permission so that I can make a speech so the dj lowered the music and I gave the speech thanking her as I walked towards her I could see she was speechless, as I went down on one knee with the ring in my hands she screamed such that my proposal wasn’t even heard she was very happy to say yes and everyone applauded us and they were congratulating us.
3 months down the line I told my parents about my intentions and I also informed Vanesa to let her people know about us, to cut the story short we got married and that’s how my love life was before I met the one that took my breath away.
